Low Dose Naltrexone

The Why Behind My Passion for LDN

Low Dose Naltrexone has me passionate about patient options. I’ll give you three reasons why.

As a Belmar Pharmacist, I work with Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) nearly every day. I answer questions from patients and prescribers, serve as the main contact for research projects, and represent the organization at conferences and events. Here are the three things that drive my enthusiasm for LDN:

  1. Quality
  2. Impact.
  3. Breadth

First, quality.  Our scored tablets are free of gluten, corn and lactose.  We use only the cleanest ingredients to help even the most sensitive of patients.  We also perform 3rd party testing on random batches to ensure our dosages are what we say they are.  All of our ingredients are purchased from FDA approved facilities.

Second, impact. Many of the patients I interact with are experiencing reduced quality of life. They struggle with pain, sleep, low energy, or similar issues. When a prescription like LDN may help resolve something that essential, it puts them on a solid path to well-being.

And finally, breadth. Many medications are targeted to one symptom or disease or are “one and done”. Because of how LDN works, prescribers utilize it in many different ways.

The most memorable case story I’ve personally heard was about a plumber. He was on the verge of giving up the work he loved due to unbearable pain in his hands. A few weeks later, he was back in business full-time. Truly transformational. Like all Belmar staff, I am also available to share my clinical experience, gathered from conversations with prescribers and patients. Your Solutions Engineer can also do a business review with you, talking about how LDN and our formulary overall complements your practice.
