What is Hydrocortisone / Hydroquinone / Tretinoin?
Hydroquinone produces reversible skin lightening by blocking the enzymatic conversion of tyrosine into melanin. Tretinoin, a vitamin A derivative, increases cell turnover and is thought to improve skin texture and help remove existing pigment. This process may also reduce fine wrinkles and skin roughness.
Hydrocortisone, a mid‑potency corticosteroid, adds anti‑inflammatory and antipruritic effects by suppressing chemical mediators of inflammation through inhibitory proteins and vasoconstriction. Together, these three agents combined are designed to synergistically reduce melanocyte activity, speed skin renewal, and lessen the irritation that can occur with more intensive topical regimens.
