You’ve heard the buzz about peptides; now get the latest peptide compounding updates and regulatory insights straight from the experts.

Belmar Pharma Solutions presents a Special Edition of our Preferred Provider webinar series: “Peptide Updates and Q&A,” featuring Angela DeRosa, DO, MBA, CPE, Medical Director of Belmar Pharma Solutions, and Scott Brunner, CAE, Chief Executive Officer of the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding (APC).

Understanding the Changing Peptide Compounding Landscape

Peptide therapy continues to generate significant interest among healthcare providers and patients, but the regulatory environment surrounding compounded peptides can be complex. In this webinar, Dr. DeRosa and Scott Brunner break down recent FDA and Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) activity and explain what these developments actually mean for prescribers and compounding pharmacies.

Learn more about the 503A Bulks List, FDA’s peptide categorization process, and why a PCAC recommendation does not automatically mean a peptide can legally be compounded. Scott and Dr. DeRosa also discuss the steps that may still be required before additional peptides become available through state-licensed compounding pharmacies.

Peptide Safety, Quality, and Provider Responsibility

The discussion explores the important differences between research-grade and pharmaceutical-grade active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), including considerations around Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP), sourcing, certificates of analysis, and third-party testing.

Dr. DeRosa also addresses provider responsibilities surrounding patient screening, clinical documentation, informed consent, off-label prescribing, and the potential risks of obtaining peptides through unapproved or gray-market sources.

Get Answers to Common Peptide Questions

The webinar concludes with an interactive Q&A covering peptide prescribing, med spas, GLP-1 compounding, retatrutide, pharmacy quality standards, pre-peptide patient evaluation, and more.

The information in this webinar is accurate and up to date as of its original presentation on August 21, 2026. Any FDA announcements since then may override this webinar’s original content.
